I wish I can join Winslow. However now it's 6:30 pm and much too late to nap. But Winslow makes it look so darn good.
Linda, you enjoy your night out. You guys deserve it.

Even God was telling you that it was the right thing to do for Tess. Since she loved the snow it was nice that you got some her last night. We will
miss that little scamp but you have given us such delight by sharing her with us. Thank you.

Hi Linda.....I have not been here in ages and for some reason tonight I decided to take a look see to see what was going on in the animal world.
I am so very sorry to hear about Tess. I so fondly remember reading about her escapades. She could always bring a smile to my face! My very
best to you all and remember...time doesn't heal all wounds; it just makes some of them a little more bearable.

A Bridge Called Love
It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.
And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us

It's the bridge that we call love.

I just completed a shutterfly calendar tribute to Tess. I think you can follow this link to view it, maybe even be able to purchase one. Linda, if
you would like one, email me your physical address and I'll have one sent to you.

'Well now you've all gone and done it!
You made me break out in a - smile.'
Hello Everyone!
It is remarkable to me how kind you all have been in supporting me during this time. Each day I log on and see some wonderful ol' familiar
faces, and everything posted has just cheered me so much. Thank you all for boosting my spirits.  I am sorry I can not thank you each
individually, for I sincerely would like to. Each word of comfort you have offered, lifts me. I think to myself if only Tess knew just how many
people cared.
Kathy - Thank you for the Nadine and DD pics! What a great looking couple - and Nadine is so cute! That was a big boost.
LaRue - I am so bowled over by that calendar! Something like that would never in a million years have occured to me. I am deeply touched. Of
course I will order a copy! Thank you does not seem to be near enough for what I feel. Also sincere thanks for the BlessYouMovie. What a lovely
thing to share.
That pic of Treasure is so darned cute - she looks as if she really misses 'her' baby!
Desert - that pic of Winslow is a hoot!  It even looks like he is wearing a kilt! I just love it. Thank you for that injection of humor!
Shane - that pic of Tess and the rainbow is a beaut. Thank you so very much! It was so sweet of you to take the time out to do something like
that. That means a lot, it is a Keeper for certain.
Irish - I'm sure you've guessed I've 'gone to ground' as I work through this period of transition. I tend to work it out inwardly, or through writing - but
you won't hear me speaking of her passing for some time. The tears still come.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had a particularly grueling day of errands for mom's banking, food, RX, etc. and our temps just dropped 50 degrees - we are now in near
whiteout conditions.
I read the letter I sent to family and friends announcing her passing to my mother today, and it made us both cry. I showed her my photo album
of doggle pics, and she and her caregiver really enjoyed viewing the two girls.
One funny aside - the caregiver said she loved my house, and we went through the album several times and there was no photo of my house
there. Then she took the album and showed me - it was Shasta's barn! lol OMG, that did give me a good laugh. I told her that is the 'Horse -
House'.  She couldn't believe that one horse had so much room. She is from Poland, and her English is broken - but she can read very well and
said she cried when she read Tess's passing letter.
I have the Chris Isaak CD and have been playing it every day. DH is getting sick and tired of it I can tell. (So naturally I keep playing it
more...generally when he's not around now.)
Seeing his wife standing with a mug of tea daily, gazing out the patio doors at the back yard, and listening to sad love songs...poor guy. Though
I do consider it part of my marriage contract to try to torment him as much as possible (kidding). One of the many benefits of being married to -
ME! Lucky, lucky guy.
Tomorrow (30th) is my operation to remove the metal plate in my left forearm (my writing hand). I don't know what to expect in way of mobility,
but it may be a bit before you hear from me on here. I will be logging on daily to catch up with your news, so please continue on in my absense.
With a bouquet of her lilacs, awaiting arranging
LaRue - You asked if Lacey knew where Tess is buried.
When I brought Tess home after our car ride through the woods, I took her inside and laid her back down exactly where she had been the past
week in the living room. I explained to Lace that she had passed, and allowed her to check her out so she fully understood.
Then I let the cats in the room, and left them all together (while I went upstairs typing out her Passing letter to family and friends). I know the
cats visited her, as I saw them go over to her.
DH buried her at the base of the lilac bush, and as we were preparing the area Shasta walked up to the fence. So - she got to see her as well, up
close as we held her to her so she would understand. That mare had been so exceptionally kind to Tess. There were times when Tess tunneled
or popped through her fencing and I'd find her moseying in Shasta's arena - and even once between Shasta's legs! Nearly gave me a heart
attack!
I think Tess must have had special dispensation from the Pope himself, because all the animals here gave her considerable leeway.
re: Lacey - as far as I know, she is unaware of Tess's resting place. As I write, we are having plummeting temps and near white out conditions.
Our weather has been all over the place. Dh really amazed me by seeing to it Tess was laid to rest under these weather conditions.
Good Evening Tessville,
Linda, thank you for explaining about Tess. Her final resting place is beautiful, the roses will be a lovely addition, Tess of the d'Urbervilles, what
could be more fitting?
I too love Mr. Isaak, he has a way, when your heart is heavy, a hard thing to explain to some men, it's a woman thing ... I think Tess would
approve .
If I ever get my email woes straightened out please do not hesitate to give a holler if I can help in any way with your site (not that I WILL be able
to, lol. But I can throw a little moral support in your direction or at the very least lament hours of effort that just went poof!). Dad and I will be
watching for the link to Tess's Great Adventure!
Your whiteout it heading our way, the wind is howling terribly and I'm wondering if the old barn will hold together thru yet another gale. Hope so.
The temps are dropping by the hour. Back to single digits again. Winter...
I will keep you in my heart, that all goes well tomorrow and that removing the plate helps your wrist. With all that has happened in the past week,
perhaps you will have a chance to sit for a while and catch your breath. Hugs, gentle ones, from Dad, Gracie and I.
Kathy, I hope this helps a little: tho it often seems that some things are easier for men, my Mom stopped smoking too. She just decided one day
that it was time, and she did. I have no doubt that when you are ready, you will know and you will succeed.
(Gosh, Nadine gets prettier each time I see her pictures!)
Thank you and Ava for tolerating my ramblings, I do go on and on.
Ava, the calendar is INCREDIBLE, it is so beautiful it brought me to tears. The photos and lyrics matched to the months perfectly. Each of the
pages would be lovely framed. You did a wonderful job on it! The friends page in December was so sweet...
I will be away for a bit, but not far away. You remain in my thoughts always. Tessville will always be my favorite place on eBay. I will pop in for a
hello soon.
One last thing before I sign off tonight. Trip, the pooch that made his way to our porch over the past weekend, - if all went as we hope, is home
tonight. Thru a long series of twists and turns starting yesterday morning, he was taken to our local vet to try to find his home.
Today while delivering a package I mentioned to our mail carrier that a lost dog had found his way here for the weekend. She asked if it was a
Shepard, I said yes, at least part. She asked about the collar - described it perfectly; I said yes, that's him, he's over at Doc Kelly's. She didn't
have her cell phone so she asked me to call our postmaster, he had announced yesterday that the carriers should keep watch for the dog, the
owner had stopped and asked them to look for the dog. So I called him this morning and told him that the pupper was here until the animal folks
took him to the vet's in an effort to find his real home. The postmaster told me he'd call the owners right away and let them know that their dog
was a half mile away at the local vet's office.
Turns out Trip lives one road north of us, he was not far from home the whole time.
Perhaps he was here for the few days that he was so he didn't wander too far away or get picked up and taken away, hard to say. I felt so silly - I
cried when they took him away, the poor cop looked so embarrassed. I really did want Trip to go to his home, where he belonged. It was just that
he was such a good boy. And that he reminded me so much of someone I will always love.
So hopefully, tonight Trip, or whatever his real name is, lol, is warm and happy, in his own bed, in his own home, with his own family. Where he
belongs. I hope so.
And Gage, he is where he will always be, in my heart and my memories. And sometimes, when I'm down, I look at his pictures and remember
better days.
And hope for good times ahead.
For all of us.
Night everyone.
